Best Bikini Hair Removal Methods
There are several different methods to bikini line hair removal. Since people have different needs and different types of skin, what works for one person may not work for another. One person may be allergic to creams, another may get razor burn easily, and yet another may lack the money for laser hair removal.

With so many options out there between waxings, creams, and laser treatments, its easy to have a hard to deciding which one is for you. Do your research through the internet and local specialists first to find out all the pros and cons of each method. Then, after determining what is best for you and your skin type you can determine what type of bikini area hair removal technique you should use.

Shaving to Remove Bikini Hair
The quickest and easiest way to remove bikini hair is by shaving. Unfortunately it’s not the most effective way. It’s good for a quick and easy job, but shaving can cause the hair in the area to grow back quick and also cause razor burn and ingrown hairs.

Razor burn is caused by the irritation your skin gets when you run a sharp blade against it. The courser the hair, and hair in the bikini area tends to be quite course, the worse the razor burn will be. Ingrown hairs, on the other hand, are caused by either the skin having too little moisture or dead skin cells building up in the pores of your skin preventing the hair from growing. This effect is also worse with the course, curly hair found in the bikini region.

The best way to avoid these negative effects of shaving is by using an appropriate razor, shaving cream, and moisturizer before and after you shave.
Waxing and Creams

Two other ways to achieve bikini area hair removal are through the use of waxing or bikini hair removal creams. Creams break down the bond your hair has with the skin and after application allows you to simply gently wipe the hair in the area away. Waxing also separates the hair from the follicle itself, but it’s by the use of a violent tug. It can range from a standard wax job to a full Brazilian bikini hair removal job.

Both of these methods remove bikini hair for anywhere from two to four weeks. So, on average, you’ll only have to apply the cream or wax once every three weeks. They also can leave your skin much smoother and less irritated than a razor will. However, creams and waxing aren’t without their downsides. Waxing can be quite painful and expensive over time if you continually go to a spa to have the treatments done. For creams, the main worry is that you might be allergic to one of the ingredients and end up with incredibly irritated skin. For this reason, make sure to test the cream out on a small area of your body and wait a day or two to see if irritation develops before using the cream to remove your bikini hair.
The final method of bikini hair removal is through the use of laser hair removal. Laser hair removal burns your hair follicles to prevent them from growing back. It is by far the most expensive of the ways to get a clean bikini line, but also the only one that’s permanent. Today, laser hair removal has progressed to the point where you have more choices of treatments that can be more effective. IPL hair removal treatment is one of the newest laser hair removal methods that can have much more effective results for some people than the traditional laser.

The good news is that, as far as laser hair removal goes, the bikini area is relatively small and one of the least costly areas of the body to have the procedure done on. It typically takes about three to six treatments spaced about six weeks apart to completely remove the hair in the area at a cost ranging anywhere from $250 to $500 a session depending on your location, skin type, and other factors.
